About the event
In this lesson recorded from my live zoom class, we’ll take a look at developing a line and wash landscape that features a washed up boat as shown in the reference photo above, by combining ink and watercolor. We’ll create this image in two stages. In the first stage, we’ll develop the pen and ink drawing. In the second, we’ll apply watercolor washes to complete the image.
Materials Required
hot press 140 lb. watercolor paper. This paper is smoother than its cold press counterpart which will allow us greater control over the ink applications.
2H graphite pencil.
Set of watercolour pans or tube (For this painting, I’m working with my field watercolor set by Winsor and Newton)
