Alexandrite is original artwork.

The 2 pieces were inspired by the natural gemstone. Alexandrite is a color-changing gemstone from the mineral chrysoberyl. Beside red or pink, alexandrite can also turn into a purple stone at night under an incandescent light. This is part of a new series of resin works inspired by the bright beauty of natural stones.

Pure ink pigment and mica powders were added to epoxy resin to create this piece. The work is on 2 20cms square deep edge canvases and comes unframed with hanging wire attached. Would also look great in simple black frame.Black, deep purple violet and electric blue inks and mica powders were gently fused with a heat gun to create the movement and patternisation. As the pigments blend magical patternisation occurs. You never know for sure what you will achieve, as once completed the particles continue to morph.

Signed on the reverse, it comes with a certificate of authenticity
