In this acrylic painting lesson, we’ll take a look at painting waves. It may seem like a daunting task to create this illusion. But with a little patience, an understanding of directional brush stroking, and the use of appropriate value and colour, this process is actually manageable and quite a bit of fun. Let me take you step by step and show you how to create a painting to be proud of

 

 Materials required

Canvas

Cerulean Blue, Prussian Blue, Phthalo blue, Phthalo green, cadmium yellow and Viridian Hue. To adjust the values of these hues, we’ll use Payne’s Gray and Titanium White.
