Join professional pastel artist Eunice Friend for a relaxed, hands-on workshop where you'll create a beautiful, realistic portrait of your own cat in soft pastels. Using Eunice's clear, step-by-step teaching style, you'll be guided through every stage of the process, from the initial sketch to a finished portrait full of character and personality. Along the way, you'll discover how to layer soft pastels, pastel pencils and PanPastels to create depth, texture and beautifully realistic fur. Special attention will be given to the features that bring every cat to life. You'll learn how to paint expressive eyes that sparkle, create convincing noses and whiskers, and capture the unique markings, colours and character of your own feline companion. Throughout the day, Eunice will share the techniques and professional tips she has developed over many years as a pet portrait artist, helping you build confidence whether you're painting for pleasure or hoping to create portraits for friends, family or commissions. With a small class size, everyone receives plenty of individual guidance and encouragement, making this workshop suitable for both beginners and more experienced artists. By the end of the workshop, you'll leave with a completed pastel portrait of your own cat, along with the skills and confidence to continue creating lifelike pet portraits at home. All materials and refreshments are provided. Simply bring a light packed lunch and an A4 colour print of the cat you'd like to paint, and enjoy a friendly, inspiring day immersed in the wonderful world of soft pastels.
