Forgotten Tides – Pastel Workshop
3rd Dec - 6pm - The Salen Boat Wrecks
Service Description
An Atmospheric Soft Pastel Workshop 🎨 Discover the beauty in things left behind… Nestled on the shores of Loch Sunart, near Salen on Scotland's stunning Ardnamurchan Peninsula, these old fishing boats have become one of the area's most atmospheric sights. Weathered by time and the elements, they make a wonderful subject for our next pastel workshop. Join me as we capture the character of these abandoned boats, the rich textures of their ageing wooden hulls and the dramatic Scottish sky stretching across the loch. Using a combination of soft pastels and pastel pencils, I'll guide you step by step through creating depth, texture and atmosphere, from the brooding clouds to the muddy shoreline and reflections. No previous pastel experience is necessary! Whether you're a complete beginner or have painted with pastels before, you'll learn techniques to help you create a beautiful, atmospheric painting to take home and be proud of. ✨ All materials are provided, along with plenty of friendly guidance and encouragement throughout. Come and enjoy a relaxed, creative workshop and bring a little piece of the Scottish Highlands to life! 🎨
