Service Description

Eunice will be your tutor for this hands-on pastel pet portrait workshop! With her step-by-step approach and years of experience in creating life-like pet portraits, you're in for a treat and a fantastic learning experience. Throughout the workshop, Eunice will guide you through the entire process of developing a realistic pet portrait, starting from the initial sketch and taking you all the way to a finished painting. You'll gain insights into creating various fur types, whether it's cats, dogs, horses, or other furry creatures. You will get to compare paper surfaces, Soft pastels, Pastel pencils and how to work with pan pastels too. One of the most critical components of a realistic pet portrait is capturing the eyes accurately, and Eunice will teach you hands-on how to make incredibly life-like eyes. No matter your level of experience in painting animals, Eunice has a wealth of "tricks" of the trade to share, honed through years of portrait painting. The workshop will include a series of exercises to tackle different fur types, eyes, and noses, allowing you to build your skills and confidence. In the afternoon, you'll have the opportunity to work on your own pet portrait, with Eunice available to provide personal guidance and advice. The small group setting ensures that everyone receives individual attention and encouragement. By the end of the class, you'll be well-prepared to apply your newly acquired skills to create pastel paintings that include animals or to enhance the quality of your own portrait commissions. All materials and refreshments are thoughtfully provided, so you can focus entirely on the creative process. Just remember to bring a light packed lunch and an A4 color print of the dog you wish to paint, and you're all set for an inspiring and fulfilling day of pastel pet portrait artistry with Eunice!
